Entering the Sleep Disorders Center
You will be welcomed to the Sleep Disorders Center by one of our sleep technologists and shown to your room for the night, where you can change into your sleep clothing.

The sleep technologists will monitor your sleep on the computers in our control room throughout the night. They will wake you up in the morning and will disconnect all the sensors used during the night.

The technologist assigned to you will explain all the procedures that will be used. You will wear multiple sensors during your sleep study; attaching these sensors takes approximately 45 – 60 minutes and is painless.

You will be monitored throughout the night visually by an infrared camera that is located in your room and by all the sensors applied to you. You can communicate with the technologist by means of an intercom and with a microphone located on the ceiling of your room.
