Family Medicine Residency - Welcome & Highlights
Choosing a family medicine residency program can be a challenging
task. The Sacred Heart Family Medicine Residency Program has a long
tradition of educating family doctors. Since 1972, we have participated
in the education of more than 100 family physicians practicing all
over the country.
Some of the highlights that separate Sacred Heart from other residencies
include:
- State-of-the-art 42,000 square foot primary care Sigal Center
for Family Medicine on hospital campus.
- Location in the beautiful Lehigh Valley, only 60 miles from Philadelphia
and 85 miles from New York City.
- Single residency program that allows for resident autonomy.
Community-based program with university affiliations, accepting
students year round from Temple University and Philadelphia College
of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Dedicated full-time faculty with a variety of interests; full-time
faculty includes family physicians, internists, and psychologists.
