Free Cancer Screenings – May 2008

May is National Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month. Skin cancer, the most common form of cancer affects one in five Americans. Sacred Heart Hospital will be conducting free skin cancer screenings throughout the month of May.
Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last two weeks, the Altogether Angels mentoring class at Sacred Heart Hospital can help you become an active, assertive participant in your recovery. Center for Cancer Care
Join dedicated staff as they provide care and support for patients and families with cancer. The Educational Support Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, from 6:30 p.m.-7:15 p.m. The Peer Support Group also meets the third Tuesday of the month, from 7:15 p.m.-8:00 p.m. For more information, or to register, call (610) 776-5470.

Nutrition Hotline
Sacred Heart Hospital now has a nutrition hotline to answer nutrition or diet-related questions. A registered dietitian will call back within 24 hours of receiving a call. Weekend calls will be returned Monday. The nutrition hotline is (610) 776-4616.
