Sacred Heart HealthCare System is pleased to provide Prime Pick-Up, a free transportation service to Sacred Heart Hospital and select satellite locations in our fully equipped, wheelchair-accessible vans.
Prime Pick-Up is available:
Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

- Imaging services at Sacred Heart Hospital
- Imaging services at Sacred Heart Imaging Northampton
- Lanshe Women’s Health Center services
- Neuroscience services
- Ob/Gyn services
- Physical/occupational therapy
- Pre-admission testing
- Primary care appointments (for participating physicians)
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- Respiratory care services
- Sigal Center appointments

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are there any restrictions for using Prime Pick-Up?
A: Prime Pick-Up cannot be used for doctor’s appointments. Only one person may accompany each patient on the van, and at least 48 hours notice is required. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. If your surgery or procedure is scheduled late in the afternoon, you may need to find alternate transportation home.
Q: How do I arrange for Prime Pick-Up?
A: The best way is to tell physician’s office you’ll be using Prime Pick-Up for your appointment. When the doctor’s staff schedules your service at Sacred Heart, they will inform One Call Scheduling in our Admissions Department that you will need transportation and you will be put on the Prime Pick-Up schedule.
Q: What if I decide to use Prime Pick-Up later?
A: Call your physician’s office and ask them to call Sacred Heart and schedule your ride. If you can’t reach the physician’s office, please call One Call Scheduling directly at 610-776-5180.
Q: How will I know when the Prime Pick-Up van will arrive?
A: Prime Pick-Up staff will call you between 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. the night before your procedure. You will be given an approximate pick-up time. Wait inside your house for the van on the day of the pick-up. If the driver is running late, or needs additional directions to your house, he or she will call you via cell phone. The driver will knock on your door and escort you into the van. Every effort will be made to accommodate your scheduled procedure if the van reaches the hospital behind schedule.
Q: What do I do if the Prime Pick-Up van is more than 20 minutes late and I have not received a call from the driver?
