A Patient Advocate acts as a neutral party by serving as a link between patients and the hospital in their expressions of praise or concern so that moral, ethical, operational and care standards are upheld on behalf of patients. Patient advocates look into and help resolve patient and family complaints. If a patient is not satisfied with their care or if there are communication issues, a Patient Advocate can help. They can also answer patient questions about confidentiality and assist in getting information about the patient's care.
Your patient advocate:
- Serves as point of contact for complaints, concerns, and positive comments.
- Promotes patient satisfaction.
- Serves as a connection between patients, families, hospital and medical staff.
- Provides feedback from the patient to the hospital staff to improve the patient experience.
