Sacred Heart HealthCare System is proud to offer the services of Cardiologist Dr. John J. Cassel. Dr. Cassel’s office, Sacred Heart Medical Associates – Cardiology, is located on the Sacred Heart Campus at 325 N. 5th Street, Suite 200, Allentown, PA 18102.
Dr. Cassel specializes in services ranging from routine cardiology care and evaluation to stress testing, arrhythmia detection/treatment to 2-D Echocardiograms with Doppler, permanent pacemaker/ICD follow-up and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
John J. Cassel, M.D., received a bachelor of science degree from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Cassel is board certified as a diplomat in the American College of Cardiology and is also board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Cassel is a native of Allentown and has been practicing cardiology here since 1978. He also performed the first angioplasty in the Lehigh Valley in 1981.
