Wound Care Services

Wound Care HealingHealing should come naturally, but sometimes, due to complications from diabetes, poor circulation or infection, the healing process can be slow or difficult, which can result in wounds that won’t heal. At Sacred Heart Hospital’s Comprehensive Wound Healing Center, we offer a full spectrum of clinical services for the treatment of chronic wounds, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Our expert team of specially trained physicians and support staff is ready to help. The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center’s staff include Certified Wound Specialists (CWS), Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurses (CHRN), Certified Wound Ostomy Nurses (CWON), and Certified Hyperbaric Medicine Technologists (CHMT).

With an understanding of the many factors that may delay or prevent healing, our wound care team performs a complete history and physical exam and develops an individualized treatment plan unique to your needs. The Comprehensive Wound Healing Center has a 90% or greater healing rate.

Our Comprehensive Wound Healing Center also complements your referring physician’s services by providing wound care and/or hyperbaric oxygen treatment based on a comprehensive system of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Your physician will continue to treat any co-existing conditions and provide for your overall medical care.
