The BirthPlace

BirthPlaceGiving birth is one of life’s most amazing experiences. At The BirthPlace, the health and well-being of each mother and newborn is our highest priority. We offer premier home-like maternity suites where the mother- and father-to-be can stay together through labor and delivery. In each private birthing room, you can deliver, recover, and receive postpartum care, even if you require a cesarean section. “Rooming-in,” where the baby stays with you in your room, is encouraged, and counselors can assist you in breastfeeding and answer any questions you may have.

The BirthPlace is arranged in a semi-circle with the nurses’ station at the center of the circle. A state-of-the-art central monitoring system feeds continuous medical evaluations of mother and newborn to the station.

If your newborn should need critical care, treatment is provided by highly specialized staff, including board certified neonatologists, in our fully-equipped Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Hearing Loss Screening
All babies born at The BirthPlace undergo Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) screening to check for hearing loss, a common condition which can otherwise go undetected for years. This non-invasive test can help identify problems and avoid developmental delays.

Secured Unit
The BirthPlace is a secured unit. To maintain the highest level of privacy and safety for our families, no one may enter or leave the unit without authorization.
