Types of Giving
We offer several types of giving options. Review the types below and select the option that best suits your individual needs. No gift is too small or insignificant to help Sacred Heart HealthCare System advance its mission to help those most in need.
Annual Giving: An annual gift is an amount given yearly as a one-time donation or in monthly payments. Annual gifts can be restricted for a specific purpose designated by Sacred Heart HealthCare System, such as for a new facility or program, or they can be unrestricted and used by Sacred Heart HealthCare System where need is most immediate.
Tribute/Memorial Gifts: A tribute gift is a donation given to honor a living family member or a Sacred Heart HealthCare System caregiver. A memorial gift is a donation in memory of a loved one. When a gift is made in honor or in memory of someone, the donor’s recipient or the recipient’s family will be notified that a gift has been made to Sacred Heart HealthCare System in his or her honor or a loved one’s memory.
Planned Giving: Planned giving allows donors to name Sacred Heart HealthCare System as the ultimate beneficiary of a planned gift such as a will, trust, annuity, or life insurance policy. Planned giving often has tax implications and is usually planned in concert with a financial planner or advisor.
Campaign Gifts: A campaign gift is a donation given for a particular purpose in a specified period of time. Sacred Heart HealthCare System may run a campaign to help fund a new program, facility, or purchase of equipment.
In-Kind Gifts: An in-kind gift is not a monetary donation but rather a donation of items or services, such as office supplies, equipment, facility space, or staff time. The donor may place monetary value on an in-kind gift for tax purposes. View a list of needed items or services below.
