Sacred Heart Hospital's Centennial Celebration Gala
On June 15, 2012, Sacred Heart Hospital kicked-off its celebration of 100 years of compassionate care to the Greater Lehigh Valley. To culminate this year-long celebration, we are hosted a Centennial Celebration Gala on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The evening included a historical walk down memory lane, cocktails, dinner and dancing, fireworks, and a champagne toast.

Events and seminars are held in Sacred Heart Hospital’s second-floor conference center unless otherwise noted. Free parking is available for participants in both the Fifth Street and Chew Street parking decks.

Hospital Tours

Radiology and BirthPlace
Hospital tours are available for schools and small groups upon request. To best accommodate participating staff members, tours are typically scheduled for Wednesday mornings and run one hour in length. Tours include a visit to the Radiology Department and The Birth Place. Before the tour begins, the children first assemble in the 2nd Floor Conference Center, where belongings such as jackets and sweaters can be left for the remainder of the visit. Here, students are given surgical masks or caps to wear during their visit. After visiting each area, the group meets again in the Conference Center for a souvenir to conclude the tour. Breathing Buddies Support Group
Second Thursday of every month; 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (lunch provided)
Visiting Nurses Association
The Breathing Buddies support group, designed for oxygen users, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) patients and their caregivers, meets the second Thursday of the month at the Sacred Heart Visiting Nurses & Hospice, 2268 South 12th Steet, Suite 404. Lehigh Valley RSD/CRPS Friends of Hope Support Group
First Saturday of every month at 12:30 p.m. - no meetings in January or February.
Second-floor Conference Center
Individuals afflicted by reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and post-traumatic fibromyalgia can greatly benefit from group support and education. For more information, call 610-776-5992 or visit www.lvrsdsupport.com.
Weight Loss Surgery Support Group
Second Wednesday of every month from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Second-floor Conference Center
This support group is designed for those considering the surgery or those who have gone through it. The meetings address social and psychological issues, body image, exercise, nutrition, vitamins, cooking and plastic surgery. For more information, call 610-776-4928.
Family Caregiver Support Group
Second Tuesday of every month, 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sacred Heart Hospital 2nd Floor Conference Center
This informational support group is for families and caregivers of those with health issues that are no longer able to care for themselves. Members learn more about their feelings about the changes in their daily lives. Members learn practical caregiving information, receive mutual support, and learn about local community resources.
