As the Medical Director of Sacred Heart Hospital’s Comprehensive Wound Healing Center and a Certified Wound Specialist, Dr. Hortner uses sophisticated wound healing practices to effectively treat and care for lingering wounds.  Dr. Hortner’s medical experience includes family and geriatric medicine, aesthetic medicine, and teaching. For the past 7 years he has dedicated his practice to wound care by becoming a certified wound specialist and certified hyperbaric technologist.  Using advanced methods including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Dr. Hortner treats a variety of wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, arterial and venous ulcers,  traumatic wounds,  infections,  radiation tissue damage and any other type of wound that does not seem to be healing.
