Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to the other side.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.  I used a recliner instead of a bed to lie in.  I had a pillow nearby in case I needed to cough; I would hold it against my belly.   Make sure you walk and sip as directed.  Movement is especially important because it gets rid of your post op gas pains.
