Has anyone has any muscle issues after surgery?  In particular muscles around my shoulders and upper arm have been painful. Not really like charlie-horse type pain but there are times when it feels like a pulled muscle and it is painful.  I'm wondering if I might have done something but it is on both shoulders/upper arms and I can't imagine I'd be that clumsy to hurt both arms.

Just wondering if anyone else had muscle issues. Thanks for reading and responding Satisfied

It's weird that you wrote that Marcey.  I had the same thing, but also with extreme weakness, vomiting, lightheadedness and could not keep food down today until this evening.  I think it is a passing virus.  I spent the whole day recuperating in bed.

I hope you feel better Nadia.

I'm not ill and have no other symptoms, and it has been for a little while now, probably a little under a month and I was wondering if I may have done something to the muscles.  I was hoping to hear from anyone else who might have had this and what they did to strengthen the muscles.

Thanks for your reply.

Amy I also had those back spasms, it is weird now that we are losing weight, at least for me, my muscles don't seem to know what to do LOL

For so long I must have been using different back/leg/arm muscles than I use now b/c I didn't know these muscles even existed until they started hurting.  Satisfied

Hang in there... honest it does get better.  Come to group, we all have the same gripes, it helps to know you aren't alone in this, we are here for ya too!!!

Jujubee, What you say is correct, the hurt is from not using those muscles before.  I completely understand that.  The same was true when I first started running.  On the day after a race, I felt like an invalid!  Now I just get the normal sore muscles after a strenuous workout or run, but on the day after or so, the pain subsides.  My endorphins kick in and then I feel great!  So I have learned to work through the pain.  There is always sunshine after the rain! Smile

The next meeting is on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.  Smile

Marcey,

My right shoulder/deltoid muscle has been hurting for a few weeks.  I am attributing it to the push ups I am doing, but if others feel this as well it is good to know I am not alone.

No Scott you aren't alone in the muscle aches.  I'm not sure what is going on I still have the pain but I'm not worried.
