I went back to work in 12 days and my daughter went back in 9. She works at Dorney and does ALOT of walking. She has not had any issues. I myself have had none. Remember to keep water with you at all times. A positive attitude means alot.

FarmerMom, I did have some issues and was not able to go back for quite some time BUT that is my body and how it reacts to surgery.  I would have had the same issue had I had my tonsils taken out Smile

Both of my co-workers had gastric bypass done and were back within a weeks time, they had absolutely no issues what so ever and are both 1 year out (well 1 is one month shy) and they are doing great!!!

I agree with Dena, a positive attitude is key, and drinking loads of water, keep sipping and keep a water bottle with you wherever you go.  Good luck, you will do just fine!!

Friday I go see Dr. Holland for a last visit before surgery Then Monday a chest x-ray

I'm getting excited about this surgery knowing I am going to feel better, healthier & feeling good about my self (it's been awhile since I felt good about myself) My husband said he would take me for a banana slpit before my surgery???? lol

You are going to feel so much better. Maybe not right away but I promise you are going yo be great. Had my surgery 6/5 and lost over 60 pounds. Went from a 3x to an large/extra large. Best choice I've ever been given was to have the gastric bypass.

Good luck! Remember to stay attending your meetings they will become a backbone for success.

The first few days may be a little painful, but each day is better than the previous during the recovery time.  Remember to sip and walk.

I did feel this way too, my potassium levels were way off. Call the office, tell them how you feel.  That is what they are there for.  Once you get over this hump you will start to feel so much better.  Honest. It may be hard to realize this at this point but it truly does get better!!!
