I am new to this glad to see all the support on here. I had my lap band in 11/06 lost about 80lb then had to have it deflated for good in 08 due to constant reflux, and other complications etc... anyway gained almost all my weight back and now I am scheduled for my revision on april 29th to bypass. I am so excited for my "new chapter to begin again". I am very nervous but I know I am good hands with Dr Holland. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good tasteless protein powder that I could add to my clear liquids and are there any other revisions out there. Thanks for any inputSmile

Welcome to the world of bypass. I'm sorry you had issues with the band, but very glad you are working to stay healthy.

For me, all protein powder has been chalky, not necessarily non-taste as I don't mind the flavors but I don't care for the chalk part of it.  I'm not really good with protein powders either but I mix them with sugar free pudding mix, ice and cocoa powder to make like a "shake" of sorts.

Good luck,

Thank you so much marcey that is a great idea. I didn't have to do the supplements or vitamins with the band so it really is a whole new world. I like to know what has worked for others and just different ways of trying to make things work. I just can't wait to feel better etc...

I'm with Marcey. I haven't used the "flavorless" powders. When I use the flavored ones I mix cocoa powder in to lessen the sweet taste. I also make different types of shakes. I use almod milk or plain old low fat milk. Either way I  think that they are a great way to get the needed protein in.

Ooppps forgot to say I use unsweetened almond milk too... the power, pudding, cocoa, and ice simply doesn't make a good shake LOL I knew I was leaving something out.  Oh and today I put a banana in it and it tasted really good!!!
