It took me too long to get it, but I finally bought a new scale that will hold me.  My scale I had before was fine, until I gained back too much weight that the scale won't work.  So I bought a new one now, so I can finally keep track of what my weight is doing.

I took a look at those 10 Commandments of Weight Loss, and I see some areas where I need work, especially portion size and learning how to leave food on the plate.  I keep thinking that I have to eat it all, and that's one of my biggest problems.

Congratulations on your new scale purchase.  I hope it works well for you.

Even though I weigh and measure my portions, I am also guilty of feeling that I have to eat everything that I measured on the plate instead of going by the "feeling" of fullness.  I am not sure why I am compelled to do this because post op a year ago, I would only take a few bites of my food and I was done eating.  Now I eat a cup of food, sometimes 1 1/4 cup maximum rather than go by the "feeling" of satiation.

The new scale is helping alot.  I can see when I'm starting to gain a bit, and when I lose.

I am going down again now.  The last time I weighed myself at the gym in December, I was 388.  This morning, I'm 378.  So it's starting to come back down again now.  Yippee!!

My Mom made it her goal to lose 1 pound each week. I'm making that my goal, too.  If course, if I can lose more, that's even better!  But as long as I can have the numbers go down, that will make me happy.

It is great that you and your mother work together in your weight loss successes.

Down 1 more pound, to 377.  It may be slow, but down is the right direction!

Keep it up, one pound at a time.  You will get there.
