How do you know if you qualify for gastric bypass surgery? Your Body Mass Index, or BMI, is a good indicator. You use your height and weight to determine your BMI. The higher your BMI, the greater your risk of diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and sleep apnea.
