Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Education Curriculum* has finished for the 2015 season. We will be working again with Abington/North Penn in Lansdale to present the first day of Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Education in the fall. If you are curious and want to attend this day, the date will be selected soon and announced here.
*Continuing Education units were obtained through Northampton Community College.
Northampton Community College is an approved provider of continuing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This program is being joint provided with Sacred Heart Hospital
Networking meetings for all parish nurses and interested persons who wish to join us.
July 23, 2015, 1pm-5pm: we have presenters scheduled from the task force on Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention. We will pursue 4 CEUs through Sacred Heart Hospital Staff Development Department. (FREE)
September 24, 2015, 1pm-5pm: CAIR- non-violent crisis intervention education. (FREE)
June 19, 2015, 8am- 4:30 pm. The Many Faces of Family: Healing Fractures; Building Lives. Our presenters will be: Dr. Marilyn Meder, PhD, RN, FCN, Hasshan Batts, MSW, and Dr. Edward Santana-Grace, PhD. (See Brochure) Marilyn will present the fractures that so many of our families experience; Hasshan will explore trauma- informed care and Edward will bring his 20 years of research for building lives through transforming habits. We are pursuing 7 CEUs for RNs who attend the entire program. However, all are welcome to attend!
